Metro Recreation didn’t become the premier playground contractor in the area by accident. Our CEO Michael Slifer has been in the game since 1996 when he began as a playground installer. Now with 30 years of experience, we’re your Miracle Recreation playground representative in Maryland, D.C., and West Virginia—from design to installation. Our years of experience, extensive depth of understanding, and innovative design perspective allow us to share our joy of play with you.

What We Do
Metro Recreation is a full-service playground and recreation company happily serving the Maryland, West Virginia, and D.C. areas. It’s our firm belief that every child should have access to a great playground that unlocks the potential of their imagination. For more than two decades, we’ve devoted our work to providing play spaces to communities across Maryland.
We don’t just build your average playground and call it a day. We offer an astonishing array of options that will make your community’s play space unique. Sure, we have the classic equipment—slides, bridges, and climbing bars are still a hit—but you can also add adventure kickstarters like climbing walls, group swings, puzzles, or even splash pads!
